The Tsunami Dojo was opened in Shirley Croydon in 2002 our arts include Tenshin Ryu Iaido and Iaijutsu , Kyushin Aikijutsu and Kobudo. we train on Tuesday evenings from 19:15 to 21:45 , in January 2010 we will be opening another branch of Tsunami at the Dojo in Sidcup Kent, Friday evening 19:30 to 22:00.
Our Senior Instructor Mike Selvey started training in 1973 with the British Judo Association, he graded Shodan Judo in 1980 , he then started training in Budo with Otani Tomio Hanshi, his currant grade is Rokudan (6th) in Iaido and Budo (based on Iaido,Iaijutsu, Aikijutsu and Kobudo) Godan Renshi and Shihan Iaido with D.N.B.K.I.D he also holds Dan grades in Judo,Kendo and Aikido.
The Dojo is affiliated to D.N.B.K.I.D, there are currently 9 Dan grade students at Tsunami Dojo, Sempai and Assistant instructor is Glenn Coxon Nidan Tenshin Ryu and Nidan Iaido D.N.B.K.I.D. We travel worldwide training competing conducting and taking part in seminars and Demonstrations.
We are sponsored by the London Fire Brigade Welfare Fund and there are many Firefighters who attend classes.

Within this martial arts discipline, the opportunities arise to see martial arts from around the world in many different schools, meeting many different exponents of the Warrior arts.
In 2008, the Tsunami Yodokan team traveled to Kyoto for the D.N.B.K third , World Butokusai where the team met, trained with and demonstrated thier art alongside Martial students and Teachers from all round the world.
